Cheshire Peak District Attractions

Blaze Farm Ice Cream Farm is a local attraction in itself with the ice-cream parlour, play area, nature trails and pottery painting.  On the farm it is possible to see the lambs being born in the lambing sheds in spring and watch the sheep being sheared in July.

Walkers, climbers and cyclists will enjoy being at the heart of the western peak district. Underbank Camping Barn is at the sounthern end of Wildbourclough, below Shuttlingslow hill.  It is close to well known locations such as Three Shires Head, Gradback Forest, Macclesfield Forest, The Roaches and Teggs Nose Country Park, The Cat and Fiddle pass and only a short drive to other famous areas of the Peak District National Park.

Families will enjoy the traffic free rural landscape.  There is Shuttlinslow Hill to climb , a hill with a mountain like aspect and rewarding views, ideal for short legs.  The stream Clough Brook burbles its way along the valley bottom a field away from the camping barn.  Ideal for welly wading and pond dipping.  The farms nature trails have stunning views and  scattered  wood caving and willow structures to explore.

Macclesfield is 20 Minutes drive away with its monthly Treacle Market,  Buxton has shopping, the park and winter gardens and the opera house for some evening entertainment!  Jodrell Bank is 30 minutes drive.  Underbank Camping Barn is also a great base if you plan to visit the National Trust properties of Little Moreton Hall or Biddulph Grange Gardens.
